Literary traveler Zachary Petit recommended Novel Destinations as one of five “Great Gifts for Writers” in the November/December issue of Writer’s Digest. Each one was selected by a different staffer.
Novel Destinations is featured as a gift For the Writer on the Road. Zachary, the magazine’s managing editor, described it as “a definitive travel guide for writers that venutres into all the literary corners most guidebooks overlook. Wildly useful for any getaway.” He suggests giving a copy of Novel Destinations in lieu of a plane ticket to Key West to visit the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum. If you can spring for both, it’s worth the trip — for the literary connection and also for the legendary cats who live th
ere and roam the house and gardens. You can meet Emily Dickinson (far right, who has the famous six toes), Archibald MacLeish (at right, lounging in Papa’s bedroom), and 50 or so of their friends.
Thanks, Zachary, for recommending Novel Destinations. We wish you and all the other literary travelers out there many memorable adventures!

Hey,
Moreover, thanks for writing it — it just went to Italy with me two weeks ago!

Hello Girls!
I just wanted you to know that I just received 3 copies of your book from Amazon. I am giving 3 of my best friend bookclub buddies, a copy of your book, and a pink highlighter, plus a world map to highlight in their book and on their map the places they have already visited of literary significance. I have done that in my own hardback copy, of all the places I’ve visited already, and I hope to highlight more in the upcoming years of places I’ve actually seen in person.
Merry Christmas early!
Your friend,
Gary

Hi Gary!
What a wonderful idea for your book club friends–to give the book + map + highlighter!! Very clever! We certainly hope you (and they) are inspired to get to a few new sites in the year to come, and thank you for being such a keen supporter of our book and website all these many months. It’s so nice to hear that Novel D is making it under some christmas trees this year. We hope someday that we’ll get to meet in person. Happy Thanksgiving and happy holidays!

Meeting you ladies in person would be way cool!!! If you ever make it to St. Louis, MO for a booksigning, let me know when, and where, and I am there!
I am thinking this spring or summer making it to Oak Park, IL to see all the Hemingway, and Frank Lloyd Wright stuff too. Maybe a chance of you being in Chicago as well?
