We were very excited when Andrea Rotondo, organizer of this month’s  Travel Bloggers’ Caravan and host of the first stop-of-the-day, LuxuryCruiseBible.com, selected Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House in Concord, MA, as her favorite literary destination. (And in the coming days, we’ll be sharing more of our fellow Caravaners’ favorite literary sites around the world.) “Like many,” says Andrea, “I grew up in a town near Concord and Little Women was the first ‘real’ book I read when I was little.”

We, too, will always have a soft spot in our hearts for this particular author house because it was Shannon’s visit to Orchard House nearly four years ago — with her sister, mother, and niece in tow — that helped inspire the idea for Novel Destinations. And the rest, as they say, is (literary) history.
